A Spring Longwood Gardens Proposal | David and Rosemary

Spring is one of the best times of year for a proposal at Longwood Gardens. The gardens are starting to fill in, the flowers are blooming, and the Brandywine Valley has that fresh, early-season look that makes for beautiful photographs.

For David, Longwood Gardens was more than just a pretty place to propose. He had a specific location in mind: the Love Temple.

That’s where he proposed to Rosemary.

The Love Temple is tucked into one of Longwood Gardens’ more intimate areas, surrounded by trees and gardens. It has a classic architectural feel without being overly formal, which makes it a great setting for a proposal.

For David and Rosemary, it was the right spot for the moment.

David brought Rosemary to the Love Temple and proposed, turning an already beautiful part of Longwood Gardens into a place that will always have a little more meaning for them.

After the surprise and excitement of the proposal, we spent some time walking through the gardens and taking photographs together.

This is one of my favorite ways to photograph proposals. Once the question has been asked and the nerves wear off, the experience becomes much more relaxed. You get to actually enjoy being engaged while we document what the rest of the morning looked like.
